ABOUT
John Malone is an American composer, lyricist, songwriter, producer, pianist, and software entrepreneur.
At age 17, John was one of two recording acts to be chosen from the United States to perform his original composition at the Yamaha International Song Festival in Tokyo.
John was signed to RCA Records for the release of a single (Everyday Dreamer) and subsequent compilation album of the song festival.
Since then John has utilized his talents as a software entrepreneur, building the largest job data distribution network in the world that still remains #1 today. His clients include Apple, Starbucks, Amazon, Google, Pixar, Oracle, Marriot, Nestlé, and much of the Fortune 1000.
After a long sabbatical, John has returned to writing and producing music — with some of his output being placed on this site. He has already had some recent success placing his song "Over and Over Again" with Oscar and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Stephen Bishop.
In the last year John has worked with:
- Stephen Bishop (Los Angeles) singer-songwriter. His biggest hits include "On and On", "It Might Be You" and "Save It for a Rainy Day".
- Ryan Louder (London) who has produced Dua Lipa and Dido.
- Steve Turner (London) the touring keyboardist for Electric Light Orchestra.
- Richard Cho (Los Angeles) whose past associations include Kanye West, J. Cole, Chris Brown, Arianna Grande, Diddy, Travis Scott, John Legend and Ne-yo.
- Jeff Young (Los Angeles) keyboardist for such artists as Sting, Bonnie Raitt, and Shawn Colvin, while holding a lengthy tenure with Jackson Browne.
- Chuck Sabo (London) who did a phenomenal job drumming on St. Peters Roll Call. Chuck has previously worked with Seal, Brian Adams, Elton John, XTC, and Natalie Imbruglia.
- Tony Carlucci (Toronto) who wrote the horn arrangements (and played) on Man on the Street, and St. Peters Roll Call. Tony has worked with some of my favorite artists and songwriters including Gino Vannelli, David Clayton Thomas, Paul Anka, Sam and Dave, Aretha Franklin, and Barry Manilow.
On this site John explores the different shapes of his music and gives listeners a chance to sit in prior to any masters being recorded. Enjoy!
